Community Against Violence’s 20th Annual Radiothon

Back in 2003, Community Against Violence took to the airwaves of KTAOS to broaden its annual fundraising campaign in and around the greater Taos area. How time flies: This year will be the 20th Annual CAV Radiothon that will be on the air all day Thursday, October 13!

Airing 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and once again emceed by KTAO dj's, the Radiothon is a perfect time to show your support for the essential services CAV provides in northern New Mexico (list below). It's also one time of the year that CAV staff gets to personally thank community members and businesses for donating their hard-earned money supporting CAV’s mission to foster and support a community free from all forms of domestic and sexual violence.

It has always been a day where people, businesses, and faith organizations come together to assure the community legacy of CAV’s critical services will always be available for children and adults who need them. Every $1 donated to CAV brings in approximately $10 in grant funds and helps fill funding gaps in the non-profit's $2.9 million annual budget. This goes a long way to assure CAV's services will be there for the many families and individuals who have experienced the trauma of sexual and domestic violence, child and elder abuse, stalking, and human trafficking.

Consider making a one-time donation, or monthly pledges. Tune into KTAOS radio station at 101.9 FM (Taos Ski Valley 97.5FM, Angel Fire & Red River 102.3 FM), and then call (575)758-8882 to make your donation and, most importantly, share on-air why supporting CAV is important to you, your business, or your family. We love having kids call in their pledges, too!
