Be an Angel !!
Community Against Violence's
28th Annual "Loretta's Angel Tree"
The CAV Angel Tree is a 28-year tradition at Community Against Violence. This year and going forward, CAV’s Angel Tree will now be named after Loretta Romo, who started this tradition and was its steward for 27 years.
This project was started to ensure that children and families impacted by domestic and sexual violence would have access to holiday celebrations and joy.
Every holiday season since 1997, the Angel Tree has helped fulfill the holiday wishes and needed items of children in CAV’s shelter or services.
The wishes are a way the community can partner with CAV to provide gifts to children. Over 500 children received gifts in 2023 and that number keeps growing.
Local businesses and community members are invited to come by CAV and select angel wishes starting November 12th.
Select a child or children of any age and purchase what they need or want. Most needed gifts for teens are gift cards to buy what they want or need.
Gifts can be wrapped or not and must be delivered back to CAV by Monday, December 16th. The gifts are given at a special celebration for the children just before the holidays.
Pick up angels at CAV, 945 Salazar Road, M-F 9-5, or call Melissa at 575-758-8082.

CAV'S ANNUAL FALL FUNDRAISING!
Thank you for being a vital part of the Community Against Violence (CAV). “Community” is the first word in our name for a reason. CAV services continue to grow in response to the community’s need, and we couldn’t do it without your support.
Thanks to your donations, CAV’s doors remain open, providing free and confidential services to survivors. Last year we served:
We invite you to join us in our mission “to foster and support a community free from all forms of sexual and domestic violence” and to help us reach our annual fundraising goal of $190,000. CAV is Taos County’s only provider of crisis intervention, shelter, and advocacy services to child and adult survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, child/elder abuse, and stalking.
By making a one-time donation or increasing your monthly pledge, you will help us leverage grants to make sure services remain free and confidential to everyone who needs them. We thank you for your continued support!
